Tips for Success E-mail newsletter
E-mail newsletters are the
most effective and economical way to market to home buyers, real
estate agents and other real estate professionals.
However, e-mail newsletters can be expensive and time consuming.
You will soon have the opportunity to build your referral base
by being a member of the InspectorGuide.com directory. We
will do all the work for you.
As we prepare for launch of
the the new newsletter, we will be updating the directory.
sites that do not meet the listing requirements will be removed
from the directory. Sites that meet the current
requirements will be grandfathered into the new program.
Once the newsletter is launched, sites will be required to have
a newsletter sign-up on the site's main page. We will
suspend free directory listings effective January 1, 2010.
We will continue to accept applications for free listings until
11:59 pm PST, December 31, 2009.
If you have previously
submitted an application for a directory listing but your site
is not listed, you should check your site to ensure that it
meets the requirements, then resubmit your request.
In May of 2008 we began one of
the most massive advertising campaigns in our history to promote
InspectorGuide.com.
We have hundreds of Keywords and phrases in our Google, MSN, and
Yahoo ad campaigns. Each US State, Territory and D.C. has
separate sets of keywords or phrases. There is a parallel
campaign for all of Canada. Each Province has separate
sets of keywords or phrases.

Here's Why,
Did you know that the more
reciprocal links you have with other web sites, the better the
chances that your web site will be listed in a search engine
search? If you were to have a listing but no web site, you
greatly the chances of home buyers or seller calling you.
When home buyers or sellers are on the Internet shopping for a
home inspector they are less likely if they cannot learn more
about you from a website. The decision to call the
inspector usually is not made made from the Directory listing,
it is made from information on your web site. The
Directory listing steers them to your web site. After they
visit your web site, we want to to return to our web site to
give them a chance to continue looking for an inspector.
It is really no longer an option for businesses to have a web
site if they want to be successful. A web site is the
single most cost effective tool you will have in your home
inspection business. With quality web hosting being
available for only a few dollars a month and build-it-yourself
services that enable a person with no experience to create a
site in only a couple of hours, it really doesn't make for good
business to not have a web site. Our main business is
inspection report software and training. The reason we
provide web services at or below our costs is that we
know that a web site is essential for success in today's market.
The main requirement for a FREE listing is that you place a
reciprocal link on your web site to
BestInspectors.Net in a prominent location on the main page of your
website. If you advertise any of our competitors on your
website, the link to
BestInspectors.Net
must be at least as prominent as the link to our
competitor. Only our graduates and users of our inspection
report software are exempt from the link requirement.
There is a complete list of requirements below.
We want to keep the quality of the directory as high as possible
so every site that is submitted for inclusion in the Directory
is verified that it is functional and relevant. We get far
more requests for inclusion in the directory than we can
process. We try to accommodate everyone but it is not
always possible so we have to prioritize. First priority
is our graduates, users of our inspection report software, and
paid listings. After that we do all the listings for web
sites that have links to us. We then do CMI, InterNACHI,
NAHI members, and others.

and the primary Fax number separated by a comma.

a Fax number.

not modify the address you submit. It is your
responsibility to ensure that you have correctly
typed your website's address. Invalid URLs or
websites that do not meet the requirements outlined
in the Terms and Conditions
will not be added to the directory. With rare
exceptions, a website is required. We may make
exceptions on a case by case basis for

BestInspectors.Net
report software.
8.

List as many as four trade association affiliations
and certifications or licenses. If you list

localities under "Areas Served". Communities
must be listed by name. Do not list
States or Provinces. Do not
include phrases such as "all of ...".
Only applications listing one to four specific
communities will be accepted for inclusion in the
directory. Communities are defined as towns,
cities, villages, named neighborhoods (for example
Chicago's "Old Town" or "Lincoln Park", New York's
(SoHo or Tribeca, Harlem, etc.). Listings that
cover too large an area are ineffective and diminish
the overall quality of the directory.
11.
Inspection Report
An inspection report is only as good as the
inspector. Using the best software does not
necessarily result in a good report. A good
inspector using mediocre inspection software can
write a great report. It is more about the
inspector's capabilities than it is about the
inspection software. Even so, real estate
agents will often want to know which software you
use. An inspector's choice of software can say
a lot about the inspector. Inspector's who
choose good software are more likely to produce good
reports. Inspectors who use
BestInspectors.Net
inspection software tend to write better reports than
inspectors who use lower quality software.
Using good software is a selling point that you will
want to use to your advantage.
12.
Your BestInspectors.Net Sales Record Number
BestInspectors.Net customers please provide your Sales
Record Number, Unique Transaction ID or other purchase details such as date
and place of purchase. Please be specific.
For example, Do not list "The Internet" as a place
of purchase. List the name of the vendor or the
website where you purchased the software.
