Principles of Home Inspection Self-Study Course and Certification

and

XL Pro Platinum Edition

A complete Self-study course leading to certification through the National Association of Certified Home Inspectors (NACHI), the World's largest and most respected home inspector trade association.  Everything is included in this course: Books, CDs, XL Pro Titanium Edition Home and Commercial Inspection Report software, NACHI Certification and one year of NACHI membership.

This program is ideal for the student who does not need to be in a classroom environment to be able to learn.  It is the most comprehensive and cost effective training program for home inspectors available in the industry today.  There are no specific time limits placed on the completion of the course but we encourage students to establish a study plan, submit the plan to their advisor, and to check with their advisor regularly to report on his progress.

The typical student should plan to spend a minimum of 120 hours studying.  We recommend that students allocate approximately 160 hours to this program.  The student should plan to study approximately 10-12 hours each week in time blocks of not less than two hours each.  The student's advisor is available to assist the student with developing a study plan, understanding technical concepts, and providing general support as the student makes their career transition.  Students typically will spend approximately 5-10 hours on the phone with their advisors during their course of study but, we do not place specific limits on phone time with the advisor or the number of e-mails that we will respond to.  Our goal is your success.

Essentials of Home Inspection Self-Study Course and Certification

The "Essentials" course is better suited to someone who has had little or no experience with self-study than the "Principles" course.  The technical content is virtually identical to the "Principles" course but the "Essentials" course has more pre-defined structure to it than the "Principles" course.  Some students benefit greatly by having a little more pre-defined structure when developing and following their study plans.

This program is the next best thing to being in the classroom.  There are no specific time limits placed on the completion of the course but we encourage students to establish a study plan, submit the plan to their advisor, and to check with their advisor regularly to report on his progress.
